Magnetic bearings ("Danfoss Turbocorp")
Proven and commercially applied technology that allows for moving machinery without physical contact allowing for very low friction and no mechanical wear. Magnetic bearings are in service in such industrial applications as: compressors (where oil-lubricated bearings would be a source of contamination - such as airconditioning and refrigeration) as well as; electric power generation; petroleum refining; machine tool operation; and natural gas pipelines. Proven and commercially applied technology that allows for the near instant downloading of broadcasted (FM radio or streamed) material (such as songs) to a mobile phone. The service is based on a midlet at the broadcaster (ie radio station), within the handset and dedicated portal). Commercial launched in Sweden in 2007 (Tele2-MTG) with consumer behaviour revealing higher than industry average demand use and repeat characteristics at both competitive as well as higher price points.
